1.New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA)  The New Zealand Food Safety Authority's mandate is to protect consumers by providing an effective food regulatory program covering food produced and consumed in New Zealand as well as imports and exports of food products. Maintenance compounds used to clean, sanitize or otherwise maintain equipment and facilities are typically part of an integrated, documented program that often includes the use of NZFSA approved maintenance compounds. Consideration of individual products is made on the basis of their use per label instruction within the context of an overall program.
