Sheila Goertemoeller, PharmD, DABAT, ICPS

Dr. Sheila Goertemoeller is a board-certified clinical toxicologist and pharmacist with 26 years of experience at the Drug and Poison Information Center of Cincinnati. She serves as the clinical educator, staff trainer and quality improvement coach. She works on the 24/7 poison control hotline managing emergencies, overdose, and drug information calls from both health care professionals and the public.
Dr. Goertemoeller is a featured author of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital blog. She has written several newsletter and newspaper articles which have been published nationally. She is an active member of the American College of Clinical Toxicology, American College of Medical Toxicology, and American Association of Poison Control Centers. She has authored and published several abstracts/posters, written several articles for the Journal of Emergency Nursing and a book chapter on brown recluse spider bites.
She is passionate about drug abuse prevention and is certified by the Ohio Chemical Dependency board as an International Certified Prevention (of drug and alcohol use) Specialist, and as a nicotine cessation facilitator.
