In 2017-2018, we put a heavy focus on innovating to create sustainable value, focusing on the environmental impacts of product and packaging design, sourcing and using more sustainable materials, offering fragrance-free or naturally fragranced products and sourcing lighter footprint options.
We recognize our role in creating a healthy future and put great effort into understanding and proactively managing the social, environmental and economic impacts of our business. Something we were proud to announce in our 2017-2018 Sustainability Report was our reformulation of GOJO® MULTI GREEN® hand cleaner.
GOJO® MULTI GREEN® hand cleaner is one of our leading formulations in the industrial market, due to its effectiveness against a broad range of soils. In 2017, GOJO scientists reformulated this product so it not only uses sustainable scrubbing particles to remove dirt, but also meets the USDA Bio Preferred® Program and ECOLOGO® certification requirements, making it our latest green-certified heavy-duty hand cleaner.
To improve the sustainability profile of this formulation, GOJO scientists began to explore environmentally friendly ingredients to serve as the abrasives in our MULTI GREEN hand cleaner. As the reformulation process progressed, the decision was made to evaluate the formulation as a whole, over and above abrasives. The result was the introduction of GOJO® MULTI GREEN® ECO Hand Cleaner. This product is not only safe and effective but achieved USDA Biobased and ECOLOGO® certifications.
Along with revolutionizing our heavy-duty product portfolio, the new GOJO MULTI GREEN ECO Hand Cleaner has shown us the possibilities for creating better, more sustainable solutions.
