Every March, which includes Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day on March 8, is a chance to honor the trailblazing women who have come before us and celebrate and support those doing the same today. GOJO Industries and their leadership, under Executive Chair Marcella Kanfer Rolnick and President and CEO Carey Jaros, are the epitome of the type of exceptional women business owners involved with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs), including GOJO, are greatly contributing to the economy, jobs, and innovation.
WBENC is proud to include GOJO among our nearly 19,000 WBENC-Certified WBEs. While GOJO has been a leader in hygiene products for decades, the recent years of the COVID-19 pandemic underscored their strong foundation, taking on the challenge of keeping even more people throughout the country and world safe.
Momentum into the Next 25 Years of WBENC
In 2022, WBENC celebrated 25 years of women’s business development – those 25 years are intertwined with what women throughout our country and the world were advocating for during the same time. We are proud of the significant contributions that WBENC, our WBEs, and our Corporate Members – with their Supplier Diversity programs – have played in women’s history. Our network inspires women to execute their business goals and create opportunities through connections and support.
Opportunities to Connect with WBENC
WBENC, with the leadership of our 14 Regional Partner Organizations, offers the most widely recognized and respected certification for women-owned businesses in the U.S. More than 1,000 corporations and federal, state, and local government entities accept WBENC Certification as the gold standard, confident that WBENC has vetted each business and ensures that they meet the required criteria.
From there, the sky’s the limit in the form of formal and informal opportunities to connect with WBENC National Corporate and Government Members and other WBENC-Certified WBEs. Certified WBEs can participate in the year-round business, networking, and education opportunities offered by WBENC and partners.
The community of support for WBEs is immense, with like-minded female business owners and other professionals coming together to help each other grow and thrive. WBENC hosts year-round virtual and in-person events and programs, including networking, procurement, grant opportunities, mentorship, executive education, business enhancement training programs of all kinds, and many other tools and resources.
This month, we’re looking forward to connecting in person again at our 2023 National Conference in Nashville. WBENC, along with our 2023 National Conference Co-Chairs, Bristol Myers Squibb, DuPont, EY, Nissan Group of the Americas, The ActOne Group, Ampcus Inc., CSS Building Services, and M. Davis & Sons, Inc., look forward to building momentum, identifying innovative best practices, learning industry trends, and celebrating accomplishments by our WBEs and Corporate Members that further a diverse supply chain and grow business opportunities for women entrepreneurs.
